Typical of many Canadians, summer is here and David Hearn’s game is rounding into form.
The Brantford, Ontario native recorded his second top-ten finish of the season on Sunday, making it consecutive finishes inside that mark.
Rounds of 67-70-66-69 earned the Wyoming grad a share of 8th place at the Travelers Championship in Connecticut. His -8 total was just four strokes back of Daniel Berger and Jordan Spieth. That pair went to a playoff to decide the title with Speith prevailing via a holed out bunker shot birdie on the first extra hole.
Hearn was coming off a tie for 10th at the FedEx St. Jude Classic.
Fellow Ontario golfer Mackenzie Hughes also played well in Connecticut. He tied for 17th with rounds of 67-70-71-66.
Brad Fritsch of Manotick, Ontario tied for 43rd place.
